Another summer inside....

Last year grandma gave me a new key in exchange for a summer,
This year it looks like I'll be trading a summer to receive grandpa's key.
My book is a go (Fall 08),
so now I go,
every nite,
on an image quest...through the archives...looking through my grandfathers eyes backwards into time..

My new camera got fixed, so, new pix for friends.....through my eyes

The Fig Apple

Back in america... Japan fades like Latvia did when I got to Tokyo..

Such sweet memories...My last nite there I saw an amazing all female Butoh performance that struck me on such a deep soul level i cried several times during the performance. DAIRAKUDAKAN! Fuck! So beautiful! As far as alternate careers go, now Butoh dancer is up there with airline pilot...

NYC has been a real trip to re-enter the stream. I still feel like i'm in Tokyo, just observing and appreciating. Strange cultures here on planet earth.

So nice out everyday, I just want to go play after work is over....

which...

is....

right...

about...

Subway crushes

Well, our Apple store performance went down a few days ago. Life has been so rich since then its hard to piece together exactly what has happened. I can remember an amazing bountiful walk in the sun to the 100 yen store where I bought 147 items. There's also been some awesome bike riding around little streets, and elevator rides to remarkable swank views. The best though is sitting in the gallery with the whole front open, making art for our opening on saturday and interacting with the community here in the Nakaochiai district as they walk by. My friend Mary Elizabeth Yarbrough from SF is in town on some artist residency, so it was fun to catch up with her and go shopping at the amazing craft stores...
